Will all apologies to Andrew T. and the Talidan, but that is how you rock the house out. Maybe the greatest collection of musicians to grace the stage together. They left no doubt that what you just witnessed was SPECIAL. Watch this video and then go break something!

My morning commute is always better when my iPod is hitting. This morning, I was blessed with this gem from Bruce Springsteen. According to the description, this version is from ’75 and was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, England.
Glen Matlock plays bass for this band. Glen Matlock used to play bass for the Sex Pistols before they kicked him out of the band. Glen Matlock was replaced by Sid Vicious. The Sex Pistols were never the same. This was Glen’s second band. I believe they only lasted one album. That said, this song is right on the money!
When posting music, I try to find live or rare footage, as opposed to the standard music video. I don’t always succeed. This was the case while trying to find some Wire. Specifically, I was looking for “Ex-Lion Tamer,” which is easily my favorite Wire song. Sadly, I couldn’t find any live footage, but I did find this fun clip. What’s cool about this video is that it is homemade. Somebody sitting around, loving this song, and wanting to add pictures to it. I really liked it, so now I share it with you! Enjoy!
Why don’t bands rock like this anymore? I know, old man hasn’t gotten with the times, right? There are plenty of bands that rock like this, right? Wrong. Name one. I dare you. I triple dog dare you because you can’t do it. There’s no musicianship today. Not like this. I’m sorry. I hate to be that old ass man, but in this case, I’m going to be that old ass man. Kids, watch this and then go practice. Prove me wrong and I’ll admit you’re right. Until then, there are no working bands that can hang with this. None.
The day escaped me and I realized that I hadn’t provided any, what I hope is, daily inspiration. To make it up to you, I figure I won’t blow your doors off with anything heavy. How does a slinky bass line, a sweet back beat, some trippy, layered guitars, and dreamy vocals? Here, try the Stone Roses with “Fool’s Gold”. I’m confident, by the time it’s over, you will have forgotten that I left you hanging.
It’s Friday, damn it! We should be getting ready for a weekend, yes? Christ! Dig the Specials with “Too Much Too Young!” Get busy, y’all!
David Bowie in “Queen Bitch”
What do you say to some late afternoon Bowie? You down? Good!
Oh man, what a jam. Plus, we are blessed to have great picture and sound. Click here for the lyrics. Believe me, this is one pissed off song. Here’s The Clash, filmed live in London from 1980, with Clampdown!
