Lionel Richie sings, “when you’re out of Schlitz, you’re outta beer.” I would argue that when you’re outta Schlitz, you have a better chance of avoiding headache the next day, unless you’ve been drinking Schlitz all night. If that is the case, expect a killer headache!
Yeah, I’m thirsty…and it’s Friday. Therefore, I figure I would put the very same thought that’s in my head into your head. Here’s an old ad from the 70s from Hamm’s beer.
A quick side note about this ad. This commercial brings back memories of “The Dan Devine Show,” which aired on channel 16 in South Bend, Indiana. For those that don’t know, Dan Devine was head coach for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish back in the late 70s. The show began immediately after the last Saturday cartoon and they would show a Hamm’s commercial right before Dan Devine came on. Nothing like selling beer to kids!
